Mary Queen of Scots Festival takes place at Market Park, Kinross, KY13 8AS on Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd Sept 2017
The event arena will open at 10am and close at 5:30pm.
The event takes place in Market Park, Kinross, KY13 8AS, opposite the Green Hotel. MQoS Festival is situated adjacent to the M90 motorway between Edinburgh and Perth. From either direction, please take Junction 6 off the M90. From Edinburgh, at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A977 signposted “Kinross, Milnathort”. Continue onto the A922 towards Kinross until you reach Station Road (the B918). At the junction with the High Street, turn left along the High Street.
Bus – Kinross Park and Ride as direct Links to Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling, Dundee.
Rail – The nearest train stations are Inverkeithing, located 15miles south of Kinross and Perth train station 17 miles north.
Parking – There is very limited ‘on street’ parking. We advise you get to Kinross as early as possible each day of the festival. We also advise that you consider public transport.
There are no camping facilities available on site but we can recommend using Visit Scotland’s website for sourcing accommodation options
MQoS Festival takes place on a grass field. The terrain may not be suitable for all types of buggy or wheelchair but our stewards are there to help and assist where possible.
Food and Drink
There will be a wealth of food and drink options available at the MQoS Festival, more detail will be released before the event.
All lost property will be handed into the local police station;

There will be toilet facilities (which are fully accessible) available at the event.
There will not be an ATM available at the event however there are a number of machines located nearby on the High Street.
We will have a security presence at the event and may operate random bag checks.
There will be First Aid provision available on site.
· Do I need a ticket?
Mary Queen of Scots Festival is free and unticketed
· Are there any age restrictions?
Mary Queen of Scots Festival is suitable for all ages, however children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
· Can I bring in my own drink?
You cannot bring alcohol nor glass into the event arena. However, pay bars and food outlets are located throughout the venue.
· What should I wear?
This is an all standing, outdoor event so we recommend you dress appropriately for the weather –with sturdy footwear and waterproof clothing, if required. Please look at the weather forecast before setting off and ensure you dress for the weather!
· Can I bring my dog?
Yes, as long as it is kept on a lead at all times
· When is the jousting?
1pm and 3pm each day
